This frame created interesting engineering challenges. Due to a large free span requirement above the pool, we utilized a trussed roof and extremely large eastern white pine tie-beams to support the second floor – one of them was an incredible 8'x20'! The eastern white pine came from LSF forest Products, and is proof of the beautiful #1 eastern white pine material that is available to us here in Vermont.
